SIR JAMES & MORIAH OFFORD
Hi It's Sir James & Moriah
Hi! We are the Offords. We love quiet mornings with a cup of coffee, eating tacos for dinner and dancing in the kitchen with our baby girl.
We are natives of Texas and Sam Houston State University graduates. While at SHSU, our lives were changed forever by Jesus through our involvement with Chi Alpha.
For me (Sir James) As a high school senior, I felt an immense burden for the poor and hurting. It was through Mike, my Chi Alpha small group leader, that led me to experience how real Jesus actually was and how He was the solution to all we all needed.
(Moriah), I entered into college believing that I could live a "double life". I thought that I could honor God with my lips, and live my life without his wise counsel.
As soon as I stepped foot on campus, I discovered a community of believers who read and studied their Bible daily, thought deeply of the principles of the Kingdom, and loved God with ALL their heart, mind, soul and strength.
I was confronted with my lukewarm heart, immediately turned from the path of destruction and fell in love with the only ONE who could satisfy my soul.
CAMPUS DIRECTORS
PVAMU CHI ALPHA
MAKING COMMITTED DISCIPLES
After graduation, the Lord set our attention on students of similar cultural backgrounds that were spiritually underserved in discipleship. We asked ourselves "If we don't go, then who?"
We envision that through Prairie View A&M Chi Alpha, there will be a full time ministry team on every major HBCU in America, each dedicated to making committed disciples that make committed disciples, transforming the black community, urban cities and world missions.

FAMILY BUDGET
The fruit of our ministry does not primarily come from programs or projects, but people impacting people. This is accomplished by a sustained high level of life on life discipleship, thus, our biggest budget need is simply a long term sustainable standard of living for our family.

This takes into account our expenses in the categories of our home, bills, insurances, savings, personal spending, tithes, student loans, taxes, and last but not least, our wonderful baby girl Genesis.
MINISTRY BUDGET
Because our primary approach to ministry is focused on life on life discipleship, we are able to operate with a relatively low ministry budget. On the other hand, because of our high life on life discipleship, this part of the budget covers a wide area of ministry and student needs. These include:
Mission Trips
Student Retreats
Ministry Activities
Ministry Materials
Ministry Equipment
Staff & Leadership Training
Various Needs of the Students: Food, Gas, Tuition, Etc.
OTHER/ADMINISTRATION
There are a few items that don't fall under family or ministry but are important to account for

These include:
5% Budget Cushion
5% Administration Fee
National and District Cost
Support Raising Expenses
